Tempus Projects presents Home is Anywhere You Hang Your Head at our temporary space at 4220 N. Florida Ave. This exhibition centers its curatorial crux on the integration of artworks in the domestic setting. From refurbished and refreshed vintage lounge chairs to newly fabricated furnishings, the surrounding design elements and artworks have been pointedly selected in relation to one another. Newly fabricated and mid-century furniture, light fixtures, video installations, paintings, jewelry, records, books, potted plants, housewares, and other hand-crafted home goods will be exhibited for sale as a fundraiser for Tempus Projects.
Exhibiting artists include George Anderton, Janine Awai, Wendy Babcox, Neil Bender, Devon Brady, John Byrd, Edgar Sanchez Cumbas, Will Douglas, William Downs, Mitzi Gordon, Sarah Howard, Michael Jones, Dominique Labauvie, Melissa Labrit, Gigi Lage, Michael LeMieux, Noelle Mason, Tim McMillan, Jenn Ryann Miller, Justin Bryan Nelson, Sam Newton, Kaylin Price, Gary Schmitt, Taylor Thomas, Jessica Todd, Matthew Drennan Wicks, and Chris Webb.
Home is Anywhere You Hang Your Head will be open for a press preview and special guests the week of September 10th by invitation. This exhibition opens to the public with a reception on Friday, September 17 from 6pm to 10pm. With these extended gallery hours we hope to maintain a larger window for socially distanced attendance. Tempus Projects is located at 4220 N. Florida Ave. Masks required in the gallery, please.
