DRIFT :: LOOK WHO DECIDED TO STOP BY :: KAYLIN PRICE & ERIN TITUS
Drift, an independent curators space presented by Tempus Projects, is pleased to announce the opening of ‘Look Who Decided to Stop By’ a collaborative body of work that plays with the constant paradoxes between symbolism and function of objects in the home. Kaylin Price and Erin Titus exaggerate the design of objects to effectively connect elements, patterns, and materials to the emotional content the object has to the individual. Collected and design elements found in home decoration are a vehicle to question if objects contain inherent qualities or if their meanings are acquired by constant repetition through familiarity and convention.
VOLTA :: TEN DAYS IN BODRUM :: Andrés Ramírez
Andrés Ramírez
Ten Days in Bodrum explores a seaside town on the Aegean coast of Turkey. A place steeped in nearly four millennia of history, Bodrum was the home of the Dorian Greeks, the Persians, the empire of Alexander the Great, the crusading Knights of Saint John, and the Ottoman Turks. In the 21st century, Bodrum serves as one of the main vacation hubs for city dwelling Turks in the summer, as it has shifted from a port hub for maritime empires to the crown jewel of the Turkish Riviera. Ten Days in Bodrum takes you through the side streets and solitude of a town that has boomed throughout the last 100 years of the Turkish Republic.
