RETURN TO SENDER features a collection of ninety-four 7x7-inch works on paper from various contemporary artists. Each piece was designed specifically for this exhibition as part of an artist mail exchange project, and thus delivered by and returned through the U.S. Postal Service.

Return to Sender offers a respectful homage to traditional "Mail Art" culture, yet breaks from the customs and traditions by inviting specific artists to participate and creating basic guidelines. The work likewise borrows elements from traditional printmakers' practices and print exchanges.
